In a new paper in the APSR, Bubeck and Marinov from the University of Mannheim show why and when states support candidates in other countries’ elections, and what that does to democracy.

"Do Public Fund Windfalls Increase Corruption? Evidence From a Natural Disaster" has been accepted for publication, is at proofs stage.
